Vacations
-
I like to travel a lot and documented all big holidays since 1998 in Google Earth. Reconstructing where I've
been is a fun way for me to remember all the places I visited.
-
Hotels
-
Outside of big vacations I also travel on small trips. Here's an incomplete list of hotels I visited.

Places Where I Lived
-
I move around a lot. Twelve times so far and every 2.6 years on average. These are all the places that I ever
called home.
-
Education
-
Likewise, I attended a lot of different schools and universities until finally getting my Ph. D. in 2003. Here
you can follow my educational career all the way from kindergarten.
These sub pages were generated using an xsl stylesheet
I created. This stylesheet can process the doc.kml contained in kmz zip files that you can export from Google
earth. The stylesheet has several nice features, including:
-
Nested, definition list to represent folder structure.
-
Use of the geo microformat to markup the coordinates. Firefox extensions such as Tails or Operator should pick
them up. Also microformat aware search engines will be able to do things with the coordinates.
-
Links to google maps for each coordinate.
-
Link to the google maps to display the entire kmz. This is a feature they added recently.
-
Link to the kmz itself so you can open it in Google Earth (server must support the appropriate mime-type)
-
Integrated google analytics tracker (you must edit the xsl file to change my tracker code to yours).
