If you ever want to visit my place at Mechelininkatu 18, I have a nice overview of Helsinki below. I have marked two important locations: my apartment in the Töölö (yes, no less than three ö’s in that !!!) district and my work in the modern Ruoholahti district. As you can see, work is quite close to where I live. By bike it is a mere 5 minute ride, including waiting for some trafic lights. In the winter, however, that is not an option due to the amount of snow and ice on the roads. The walk through the cemetary (huge green area on the left) is quite beautiful though. I have several pictures from this area on my photo site. To the right you can see a piece of the south harbor and most of the north harbor. The harbor at the bottom is called the west harbor.
